About Chef Stacy

Chef Stacy Lenox was born in Berkeley, California, raised in San Diego, California and later in New York State.  She attended George Washington University in Washington D.C. for her undergraduate study  and after a life changing meeting with noted Chef and owner/director, Anne Willan of the culinary school, LaVarenne in France, decided to forgo law school and enroll in La Varenne’s U.S. sister school, Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School.  She received her Grand Diplome’ in the Techniques of French Cooking and Pastry, studying under such notable Chefs as Anita Jacobson, Nick Malgieri, Peter Kump, and Marcella Hazan.

After graduating she worked as a Private Chef for Nora Ephron before traveling extensively in Europe to experience the culture and cuisine.  Upon returning to the states, she started her own catering business in the New York, New Jersey area, was a guest Chef at the Connecticut Culinary Institute, and taught cooking classes and conducted product demos for Williams-Sonoma.

For the next twelve years, she worked in the corporate arena, spending seven of those years with the Williams-Sonoma organization learning the retail business side of the culinary and home decor fields .

In 2001 she moved with her husband and sons from Los Angeles to Mobile, Alabama to be nearer her husband’s family. She worked with Mobile Fixture as a Gourmet Kitchenwares Buyer, Marketing Specialist and Cooking Class Instructor from 2001 – 2009 and owned/operated "Spoons and Whisks" Personal Chef Service with friend & fellow Chef Elizabeth Gregory from 2007 – 2010.
